“In neuroscience we’ve experienced an explosion of knowliedge into how the human and animal brain functions at a low level. The challenge now is to begin to understand how lower level mental processes manifest themselves in higher order decisions and behaviour, particularly sub-optimal behaviours such as … making gambling decisions or taking drugs.”
