“..the problems caused by individuals recklessly using their power can be sometimes identified amongst leaders in the NHS. Most get caught but not before they have done great damage to their organisation and the people in it. It is people like this who unthinkingly create and nurture powerful negative cultures.

“Limiting terms of office might help as might an education campaign by the NHS Leadership Centre targeted at Chairs and executive members of Boards including Directors of Nursing and Medical Directors.”
