Data protection

You may be asked to submit personal information about yourself in order to receive materials or use services on our website. The personal information that you provide to us in your registration form will be solely used for registration purposes and for means of carrying out the Trust’s own activities. We will not disclose your information to third parties for unsolicited mailings. The Daedalus Trust maintains several email lists to keep subscribers (registered users, the press, professional institutions and other interested parties) informed about our events and new publications.

Users join our mailing lists voluntarily via email and by signing up through a form on our website. We retain this information in order to notify you of new publications and we do not sell, rent, loan, trade or lease email addresses to any third party.

As the Trust is a not-for-profit making organization with charitable status it is not required, as such, to register for data protection purposes under the Data Protection Act 1998. Nevertheless the Trust will work within the spirit of the Act and its registration will be kept under regular review. If we wish to collect and use data in any other way, we will ask your express permission. We do use IP addresses in the aggregate to track which pages people visit in order to improve the quality of the site.

The Daedalus Trust will try to develop and operate daedalustrust.com with reasonable skill and care and will use reasonable efforts to promptly remedy any faults of which it is aware.
